Adam Bałdych (born on May 18, 1986) is a Polish violinist and composer, hailed
by many as one of the most innovative instrumentalists of his generation.
Bałdych started studying violin at the age of 9 at the Karol Szymanowski Academy
of Music, after which he received a scholarship to continue his studies at the
Berklee College of Music. The release of Imaginary Room (2012), his
critically-acclaimed studio debut, earned Bałdych several awards (most notably
the ECHO Jazz Award and Best Jazz Album by the Jazz Melomani Society in 2013)
