Alain Souchon
Alain Souchon is a Moroccan-born French singer, composer, actor and lyricist who
grew up in Paris and began his professional career in the early 1970s. He began
a long-term writing collaboration with Laurent Voulzy in the mid-'70s. He
extended his repertoire from singing pop and easy listening in the 1980s by
writing film themes and also acting in movies. Over the years Souchon has taken
lengthy breaks from both performing and recording, however in 2019 at the age of
77 he released a new album and single, and embarked on an extensive tour of
France and Switzerland.
