The German rapper Ali As, known as Ali A$ until 2013, was born Zulfiqar Ali
Chaudhry in Munich on July 15, 1979. He began rapping at the age of fifteen and
was then part of the groups Artzone, Buff-A-Lot & Passt Shawn and Monaco Lightz,
among others. As Ali A$, the rapper initially released the mixtapes A$talavista,
Baby! and Ich bin ein Star, holt mich hier raus! before being signed to the
music label Deluxe Records by Samy Deluxe in 2006. His debut album was finally
