Born Anastacia Lyn Newkirk on September 17, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois,
Anastacia's future as a performer was somewhat predestined, thanks to her singer
father and actress mother. However, her first choice of career was as a dancer,
despite the onset of often debilitating Crohn's disease at the start of her
teens. That was until her appearance on MTV talent show The Cut, which was to
