Rapper and lyricist Angel Haze began her career in 2010. She first came to
prominence with the Reservation EP in 2012, which led to her being signed by the
Republic label (Universal). She then split her time between collaborations with
Skylar Grey, Woodkid or Stromae ("Papaoutai") and attacks on Azealia Banks, whom
she seems to regard as her direct competitor. As a young woman in a hurry, Angel
Haze released the album Dirty Gold in December 2013, but it didn't fully realize
the hopes she had raised.
