Anne Grete Preus was born in Haugesund on May 22, 1957. Songwriter, singer and
guitarist, she was first active on the local scene as a member of the bands
Veslefrikk, between 1978 and 1981, and Can Can, between 1983 and 1987. After
that, this true pioneer of female rock artists embarked on a solo career that
saw her release nine albums over the years and win numerous awards, including
three Spellemannprisen, given to Norwegian artists who have made a positive
