Formed at the Lycée Lakanal in Sceaux in 1977, the Bill Baxter group (Bô Geste,
Lewis Primo, Joe Cool, Chris and Gaston Béton) scored a big hit on the radio
with "Petit avec des grandes oreilles" (1982) and their humorous yéyé rock. A
mini-album(Vive la Vie, in 1983, with "Vichy fraise") and a tour later, the
remaining trio followed up with the musical Embrasse-moi idiot! adapted from the
Billy Wilder film, which gave Bill Baxter his biggest hit (n°7 in 1986). A duet
