Black Kids
The story of the Black Kids - a mixed-race band with a penchant for danceable,
synthetic pop - is one of meteoric rise. The five musicians from Jacksonville,
Florida, leapt from MySpace to release their first EP, Wizzard of Ahhhs, in
2007. Their debut album Partie Traumatic (July 2008), produced by Bernard Butler
and featuring the single "I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance with
You", established the band as one of the year's rising stars.
