Taking their name from a Ginger Rogers/Fred Astaire musical, Blood Red Shoes
were formed by guitarist Laura-Mary Carter and drummer Steven Ansell in 2004
after discovering a mutual love of grunge, punk and US alternative rock. Rising
from Brighton's vibrant music scene, they established a distinctive musical
style built around spiky, alternative, indie thrashes, fuelled by sugar pop
