Formed in Bogotá in 2005, the eclectic music collective Bomba Estéreo reached
international fame through their kaleidoscopic blend of cumbia, psychedelic
music, electronica, and more. Originally a solo effort by Colombian musician
Simón Mejía (formerly a member of the art collective A.M. 770), the lineup was
completed with the addition of singer and rapper Liliana "Li" Saumet, who
featured on the mini-album Vol. 1 (2006), Mejía's first release as Bomba
