BRAHMAN
Formed in Tokyo, Japan in 1995, Brahman is an alternative rock band that
combines hardcore punk with traditional Japanese folk music. The group came
together when vocalist Toshi-Low and guitarist Daisuke’s previous band had split
up and they joined forces with bassist Makoto and drummer Ronzi, both of whom
had also come from another local band who had just called it quits. The group
released their debut mini album, Grope Our Way, in 1996 before Daisuke left the
group, who recorded their next mini album, Wait and Wait (1997), as a trio.
