Born Marie-Claire Girod in Metz, France on February 14, 1957, pop singer Buzy enjoyed several hits in the early 1980s, before pursuing her career as an independent artist. She taught tap-dancing before being spotted by lyricist Étienne Roda-Gil and recording her first song, "Dyslexique" (1980), which was a big radio hit.
