Rock-inclined Cantopop dynamo Candy Lo (born on October 18, 1974 in British Hong
Kong) began her musical career as the lead vocalist of 1990s indie-rockers Black
& Blue. She went solo in 1998 and scored a hit single, "Trash," which was
featured on her debut EP Don't Have to be...Too Perfect (不需要...完美得可怕). Lo's
cat-themed debut album, Miao..., arrived hot on the heels of the EP, but her
