The second half of the 1990s was marked in France by the French Touch,
spearheaded by Cassius. This electronic phenomenon, which came out of nowhere,
became the first musical movement to position France as a major player on the
international music scene, and enabled two French DJs, Philippe Cerboneschi aka
"Zdar" and Hubert Blanc-Francard aka "Boom Bass", to achieve real success in
clubs the world over. Their debut album 1999 (released that year), remains a
model of the genre, followed by Au Rêve (2002), 15 Again (2006) and seventeen
