Charlotte Dipanda
Born on July 18, 1985 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, Charlotte Dipanda grew up with a
passion for music, to the point where she began singing in local cabarets at the
age of 15. By the time she reached secondary school, she had decided to devote
herself fully to music, and it was as a backing singer that she took her first
steps in the profession. With Jeannot Hens, a Cameroonian guitarist who took her
under his wing, she recorded her first album in 2001, soberly entitled Jeannot
