With a career spanning more than five decades, French-Italian singer Christophe
has released 17 studio albums, reinventing his musical style several times
during his career, which he began in 1963 by releasing a four track EP called
'Reviens Sophie' under his birth name Daniel Bevilacqua. This did not do very
well, so he changed his name to Christophe and released his biggest hit 'Aline'
in 1965. The single reached number one in the French Singles Chart and also in
Spain, Belgium, Israel, Turkey and Brazil with over a million records sold.
