(Chyi Chin)
Born on 12 January 1960 in Taichung, Taiwanese singer, songwriter, and actor
Chyi Chin (Chinese: 齊秦; pinyin: Qí Qín) spent his youth rebelling against his
strict father and eventually landed himself some juvenile jail time. While
inside, he became enamoured with music and taught himself how to play guitar. On
returning home, he began singing with his older sister Chyi Yu, who was already
an established artist, and she gifted him a guitar with which he was able to
further develop his skills. Chyi Chin officially kicked off his recording career
in 1981 with his debut album See Her ...
