Connie Haines – born Yvonne Marie Antoinette Jasme in Savannah, Georgia on
January 20, 1921 – was best-known by her work in the big band era with the Harry
James Orchestra, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, and Frank Sinatra. However, her
career continued long after swing music’s heyday. Her musical career began at
the age of four when she performed in Pick Malone’s Saucy Baby Show in her
hometown of Savannah. At the age of 9, she had her own radio show, Baby Yvonne
