A foursome from Liverpool, England, Cook da Books cut a fiercely independent if
brief career during the 80’s New Wave scene. Consisting of Peter “Digsy” Deary,
John Legget, Tony Prescott, Owen Moran, and Kevin Kunky Kelly, the band produced
synth-heavy and often politically charged singles, including their debut
release, “Piggie in the Middle 8”, which went to number 18 on the UK Indie
