Born on October 17, 1988 in Seoul, South Korea, Dami Im emigrated with her
family to Australia aged nine, and was raised in Brisbane. She demonstrated a
flair for music at a young age and began studying piano at the Young
Conservatorium of Music program at Griffith University in Queensland aged 11.
She became a national finalist in the Yamaha Youth Piano competition as well as
winning the Nora Baird Scholarship and the Queensland Piano Competition, later
completing a Masters of Music Studies degree in contemporary voice at Griffith
University. She embarked on a short-lived career...
