Daniel O'Donnell (born on 12 December 1961 in Kincasslagh, County Donegal) has
become the housewives' favourite and Ireland's answer to Cliff Richard. Learning
to sing in his church choir, he started off in his sister Margo's band before
self-funding his first album and selling it at gigs. Through tours of Britain's
ex-pat clubs and Irish bars, his reputation quickly grew and he scored his first
