David Dallas

David Dallas (August 28, 1982) is a New Zealand rapper of European and Samoan descent. Born and raised in the suburbs of Papatoetoe in Auckland, he began performing under the name Con Psy in the hip-hop duo Frontline, whose 2005 studio debut Borrowed Time won Best Urban Album at the 2006 New Zealand Music Awards. A few years later, David Dallas kicked off his solo career with the album Something Awesome (2009), which shot straight to the top of New Zealand's iTunes chart and was shortlisted for the Taite Music Prize.
