Singer, flautist and percussionist Dédé Saint-Prix has been a key figure in West
Indian music since the creation of Patatak in the late 1970s. In particular,
Dédé Saint-Prix is one of the architects of the modernization of "chouval bwa",
which later led to the zouk popularized by Kassav'. First and foremost a
performer, Dédé Saint-Prix has appeared on some thirty records, both on his own
and with groups such as Malavoi. Dédé Saint-Prix doesn't limit himself to West
Indian music, venturing into salsa, Haitian rara, raggamuffin and even rap. The
