Canadian multi-instrumentalist and singer Dan Bejar founded the Destroyer
project in 1995. Born in Vancouver on October 4, 1972, he self-produced his
first album, We'll Build Them a Golden Bridge, released in 1996, before
surrounding himself with collaborators. For City of Daughters (1997), the
musician enlisted the services of John Collins (bass, keyboards) and drummer
Scott Morgan, turning Destroyer into a full-fledged band. Taking advantage of
