Dick Lee – born Richard Lee Peng Boon on August 24, 1956, In Singapore – is a
singer, songwriter, film director, and playwright. He began his career in 1971
in the group Harmony, participating in talent contests. He also fronted Dick &
the Gang, which featured his siblings. In 1974, he released his debut solo
album, Life Story. His only other release in the 1970s was the 1979 single
“Internationaland”, but Dick Lee remained busy behind the scenes, advocating for
