The British electronic duo DJ Luck & MC Neat (born, respectively, Joel Samuels
and Michael Rose) began collaborating in 1998, and were eventually recognized as
one of the originators of a genre that became known as UK garage. Luck was
already an established DJ and Neat had learned vocal delivery on various pirate
radio stations. Their 1999 album A Little Bit of Luck spun off three top 10
singles: The title track, “Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us”, and “Masterblaster 2000”,
