Little Bob from Le Havre, Noir Désir and their native Bordeaux, Starshooter from
Lyon: every regional metropolis can lay claim to the status of hexagonal rock
capital at some point in its development. No one would argue with the Dogs'
Rouen for having reigned for a few months and thanks to three definitive albums,
a sparkling comet in the firmament of our electric skies. Without ever achieving
the commercial success of Téléphone (handicapped by the choice of English
vocals), the Dogs were the most elegant, punchy and racy of French bands, and
remain so for eternity.
