Little known as a solo artist, with only one record released under his own name(
1983'sAirborne ), Don Felder is the principal composer of one of rock and pop's
best-known songs. The rising arpeggios of Eagles'"Hotel California" are his. In
fact, it was Don Felder, who joined Eagles in 1974, who suggested the song to
the band in the form of an instrumental dubbed "Mexican Reggae". Selling
millions of copies on vinyl, CD or digital, "Hotel California" is one of the
