While his father was a soldier in Germany, Dooz Kawa discovered the
Franco-American underground rap scene in his early teens, and soon afterwards
Eastern European music. At the age of 16, he moved to Strasbourg and began
writing his own songs, before founding the T-Kaï Cee collective two years later.
In 2006, he met Gypsy guitar prodigy Biréli Lagrène, with whom he struck up a
close friendship. This soon led to a collaboration on several tracks, and the
following year he was invited to perform with him on stage in Alsace. He met
