Ed Maverick, born Eduardo Hernández Saucedo in 2001 in Delicias, Chihuahua, emerged as a key voice in Mexican folk and alternative music. Teaching himself guitar in high school, he began sharing original songs online, leading to the independent release of Mix pa' llorar en tu cuarto (2018). The album's breakout single, "Fuentes de Ortiz," became a viral hit and later achieved diamond certification.
