Edith Márquez is a Latin pop singer and television star who embarked upon a solo career after logging multiple years as a member of the platinum-selling group Timbiriche. Born in Puebla, Mexico, on January 27, 1973, she made her television debut at five years old, when she won the singing competition Juguemos a Cantar. She won a similar television competition, Canta, Canta, in 1984. While starring in the Mexican soap opera Papá soltero, Edith Márquez was asked to replace Mariana Garza in the pop group Timbiriche.
