Dutch singer and songwriter Eefje de Visser was born in the historic town of
Voorburg on February 8, 1986, and grew up in the South Holland village of
Moordrecht. She rose to fame in 2009 after winning the Grote Prijs van
Nederland, a long-running national competition for musicians, and unleashed her
debut album two years later. De Koek went to number 35 in the Netherlands and
was followed by three significant festival appearances in the Netherlands: the
