Elevation Worship began in 2007 in Charlotte, North Carolina as part of the
Elevation Church. With a stated goal of creating music that allows everyone to
feel a personal connection to Jesus, the musical project initially started with
Chris Brown and Wade Joye. They released four independent albums between 2007
and 2010, with 2010’s Kingdom Come being the first to crack the Christian Album
chart, peaking at Number 17. They signed to Essential Records and immediately
began issuing a string of live albums including 2011’s For the Honor, 2012’s
Nothing Is Wasted, and 2014’s Wake Up ...
