Born on September 28, 1969 in Pointe-aux-Trembles (Canada), Éric Lapointe is a
Quebec rock singer and brother of Hugo Lapointe. He wrote his first song, "
N'importe quoi ", at the age of 20. In 1994, he released his first album,
Obsession , which went double platinum, selling over 200,000 copies. His second
single, " Terre promise ", led him to play on Quebec radio stations. In 1995, he
opened for the Rolling Stones in Paris, on the Voodoo Lounge Tour with Bon Jovi,
and for Florent Pagny at the Francofolies de La Rochelle. The same year, he wins
