Fariz RM
Fariz Rustam Munaf (January 5, 1959), better known as Fariz RM, is an Indonesian
singer-songwriter from Jakarta. Throughout his career, he has been a member of
numerous bands, including WOW, Jakarta Rhythm Section, Symphony, Transs,
Rollies, and Giant Steps. The son of a Dutch-Betawi piano teacher, he began
studying music at the age of 5, first taking up classical piano lessons and then
developing a taste for the blues. After finishing in the Top 10 of the Prambors
FM Songwriting Contest for teens, he played drums on Chrisye's seminal Badai
