Floby, whose real name is Florent Belemgnegré, is an Ivorian-Burkinabé musician,
singer and songwriter. He was born in the Bingerville suburb of Abidjan, Côte
d'Ivoire, later moving to Burkina Faso with his grandmother, a griot. Floby
sings in French and Mòoré languages and his music incorporates African sounds
such as the kora and djembe, as well as rap and electric guitar. He has received
numerous accolades for his music, including two Kundé awards in 2007, 2015 and
