Foundations
The Foundations were a British soul band active from 1967 to 1970, made up of
musicians of diverse origins, including West Indians, white Britons and a Sri
Lankan. They are best known for their hits "Baby Now That I've Found You" (1967)
and "Build Me Up Buttercup" (1968). A London soul-pop group known for their
unprecedented mix of white and black musicians at a time still marked by
segregation. Their style combined American soul and British pop. The group made
