Genie High is an indie pop band featuring various musicians, TV hosts, and
pop-culture personalities from Japan's entertainment industry. The group formed
in 2018 in Tokyo, Japan, where classical composer Takashi Niigaki, Tricot
frontman Ikkyu Nakajima, and comedian Kukki began making frequent appearances on
the talk-show Bazooka. The show was hosted by Kazutoyo Koyabu, and all four men
decided to form Genie High as an experimental project aimed at receiving
attention from the Japanese press. Enon Kawatani, best known as the frontman of
