Singer-songwriter Gérard Palaprat was born in Issy-les-Moulineaux on June 12,
1950 . He studied the violin from the age of seven and entered a school
specializing in the performing arts at twelve, before joining Mireille's Petit
Conservatoire de la chanson. After his film debut in Alain Robbe-Grillet's
Trans-Europ-Express (1966), he played in the musical Les Fantastiks, then
recorded the confidential EP Public (1968) and appeared on television in Jean
