Grèn Sémé

Worldbeat
World music
Grèn Sémé began in 2006 in Montpellier (France), when a group of Reunionese students gathered around singer-percussionist Carlo De Sacco with the ambition of forming a group that would invent a song infused with Reunionese Creole and maloya. Halfway between dub and rock, a debut album by the name of Grèn Sémé was released in 2013. Three years later, the band's sound has been further fleshed out, and now incorporates electronic sounds, which assert themselves on the second album Hors Sol, recorded by Jean Lamoot, best known for his collaborations with Alain Bashung and Salif Keita...
