Heather Small
Heather Small (January 20, 1965) is an English soul singer best known as the
lead vocalist of the celebrated '90s dance music act M People. Born in Ladbroke
Grove, London, she joined her first group Hot House during her teenage years and
later achieved mainstream popularity alongside Manchester DJ Mike Pickering
under the moniker M People. The band garnered considerable success through
singles such as "Moving on Up" (1993) "One Night in Heaven" (1993), and "Search
for the Hero" (1995), all of which entered the Top 10 in the UK charts.
