Henning May
Henning May (born Henning Gemke on January 13, 1992) is a German
singer-songwriter, mostly known for being the lead singer of rock band
AnnenMayKantereit. Gifted with a deep, raspy voice, May founded the band with
Christopher Annen and Severin Kantereit after graduating from high school in
2011. They kicked off their career with the promising EP Wird schon irgendwie
gehen (2015), which peaked at Number 33 on the German charts. That same year,
May was featured on hip-hop collective KIZ’s “Hurra die Welt geht unter,”
providing vocals for the chorus. AMK’s breakthrough moment arrive...
