Isabella Maria Lopes Leite (born on October 8, 1968), also known as Isabella
Taviani, is a Brazilian singer-songwriter and one of the most celebrated figures
of Brazilian Popular Music (MPB). Inspired by Brazilian divas such as Elis
Regina and Maria Bethânia, Taviani studied to become a soprano during her
teenage years, following her grandfather’s footsteps. In 2003, she released her
eponymous debut, which sold more than 10,000 copies and spawned the hit “Foto
