New age ghazal singer Jaswinder Singh was born in Mumbai, India. Known for his
mesmerizing voice, he is the son of Kuldeep Singh, a well-known composer of
ghazals, which is a poetic expression of loss or separation that originated in
Arabic poetry. His father’s music has been featured in Hindi (aka Bollywood)
films such as Saath-Saath and Ankush. After receiving classical singing training
from Dr. Sushila Pohankar and Pt. Ajay Pohankar, he began his career singing
