Born Jude Francois on March 7, 1995 in Los Angeles, California, the Haitian
American hip hop/trap/soul artist and songwriter is better known by his stage
name Jay Burna. Born to Haitian parents, at the age of four, he was introduced
to music by his father. His earliest influences were classic soul artists like
Marvin Gaye and 1980s funk act Zapp featuring Roger Troutman. His musical career
began in school when he would freestyle with his classmates. Burna relocated to
