Though Lena Park, born Park Jung-hyun on March 23, 1976, became a superstar in
Korea, she was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, to Korean parents.
She gained experience singing as a child in church and began her career with the
Korean album Piece in 1998. The follow-up, 1999’s A Second Helping went to
number 5 in Korea, and 2000’s Naturally climbed to number 3. She took some time
away from music to continue her college studies in the United States, but 2002’s
