Jim O'Rourke was born in Chicago in 1969. Since 1990, this
multi-instrumentalist, mainly guitarist, has been active on the experimental
rock scene. In groups with Brise-Glace and then Gastr del Sol (1993-1995), in
collaboration with the Kronos Quartet or solo, this composer shows great talent
for improvisation. His album Terminal Pharmacy (1995), followed by the trilogy
Bad Timing (1997), Eureka (1999) and Insignifiance (2001), compensate for their
lack of commercial appeal with originality and a constant thirst for discovery.
