Based in the United States, where he started out in Hans Zimmer's studio, English composer John Powell (b. London, September 18, 1963) has scored dozens of Hollywood films since John Woo's Volte/Face (1997). Specializing in animated films such as Robots, Ice Age (episodes 2, 3 and 4), Happy Feet and Rio (episodes 1 and 2, 2011-2014), he also scores comedies and action films(Hancock, Jason Bourne).
