Best known as the founder, frontman, and lead guitarist of the desert rock band
Queens of the Stone Age, Josh Homme is an American singer-songwriter whose
multiple projects include Eagles of Death Metal, Them Crooked Vultures, and
Kyuss. He was born in Palm Springs, California, on May 17, 1973. The desert
landscape influenced the music he made, starting with his high school band,
Kyuss. Formed in 1987, Kyuss released four albums during the early 1990s,
