Born in California on May 2nd, 1988 to Taiwanese and Russian-American parents,
bilingual singer-songwriter Lara Liang relocated to Taipei as a teenager, where
she honed her craft as a Mandarin-language pop starlet. In 2005, she made her
breakthrough after meeting national Mandopop star Jay Chou, who teamed up with
her on the the hit single “珊瑚海” (“Coral Sea”) and invited her to join his
Sony-signed band, Nan Quan Mama. Continuing to serve as the group’s frontwoman
